It took nearly 15 minutes for me to take this photo. I saw her–clearly waiting for someone to arrive–but couldn’t figure out how I wanted to frame her. I kept studying her jacket, her bags, her hair… I spotted another couple and decided to photograph them; as I finished and turned around I found her standing like this.
