I met Selma on a day when I was really hurting to find some colour. When it gets cold, people reach for their coats, which usually tend to be charcoal or black. It’s bad when shooting fashion on the streets–unless the textures are unique, portraits that lack colour can come off as boring and uninteresting in print. Selma was just a pop of freshness that came out of nowhere on an otherwise dreary afternoon.
This week I’ll be presenting several more colourful finds from around the city.
