The Highline in Chelsea, New York | 11:40
In the past, I didn’t particularly like going up to the Highline to search for subjects–while it is scenically very beautiful, it’s generally overloaded with tourists in standard touristy garb. But lately I’ve come across quite the brilliant finds! I did two amazing shoots back-to-back this past Saturday morning in the freezing cold; just as I was walking past, this lovely woman strolled right by. Her sense of colour is great but even more importantly, she seems to know the colours that work well for the tone of her complexion (something that was heavily instilled in me back in my old modelling days). I was once told that “there’s no such thing as a bad colour, but there certainly are bad colours for you.” Her coat is by Anthropologie, in case you were wondering.
