Outside Burberry SS14…

Back in February when I attended London Fashion Week, I had written that the scene outside of the Burberry Prorsum show was the best of just about any show I’d attended. Coming into this season I had the date circled on my calendar for months. As it turns out (and I’d forgotten this), Monday at LFW is quite stacked from top to bottom; other designers showing on this day include Christopher Kane and Erdem. The day was completely sunny until minutes before the show started, when low hanging clouds rolled in and instantly broke, unleashing a shower storm complete with hail. Sufficed to say, it caught nearly everyone off guard, and for the first time ever, I stood outside of a show in utter consternation. NO way in hell did I come all the way to London for Burberry SS14 to rain out. Burberry! As it turned out, mother nature was simply playing a cruel practical joke–after a few minutes of downpour, the clouds moved on and the mice came out to play.
