  • @spursofficial making a Champions League final with this manager and group of players is so tremendous I'm still emotional thinking about it 16 hours later. I began supporting Tottenham in 2005 when that iteration of FIFA forced you to pick a "lesser club" when starting it's career mode; in fact it made me start in the MLS, but when I made my way to the Premier League it LOL'd my attempt to take over a top four club. I poked around the middle of the table in the game and remembered that Tottenham had my colours and there was a player called Jermain Defoe who was likeable. So I chose Spurs but instead of waiting for the opportunity to jump to Arsenal or Manchester United, stuck with them, in that and subsequent FIFA games, admired their scrappiness and tuned in whenever the real Spurs were broadcast on American television. It's been almost 15 years and today, nearly all of their matches are broadcast on TV. My love for Spurs runs deeper than my affinity to any American sports teams, and most non essential things in my life. Bailing on Fashion Week to see them last year vs Liverpool in London was a highlight of my life (the best opponent to lose to...ugh) Thank you friends for allowing me to spam your IG story feeds with match highlights on Saturdays. Thanks to Pochettino for being arguable the finest manager /coach in modern sports, and thanks to all the Spurs friends I've made, but especially to those of you in London. @chriseriksen, don't go to Real Madrid, be like FIFA 05, it feels so much better when you win it all this way. #coys
