I took this photo two Mondays ago by Astor Place (she almost said no). On Friday, Savannah and I ran into her in Soho. Her first words to me were, “You never posted my photo; was it not good enough?” I explained to her that I have a queue of photos to post throughout the week and had already scheduled hers for today. Let’s just say she looked rather skeptical. But over the weekend she emailed me, and as it turns out we went to high school in the same town. She’s actually a sublime graphic designer who has been commissioned to do some big projects. What I love most about curating for Lord Ashbury are all of the extraordinary people I get to meet at random, even if it takes a second, random run-in to discover these things.
