When I saw Kaleigh crossing through Union Square, the first thing that sprung to my mind was, She’s not carrying a bag. In New York, women carry two, sometimes three bags. I’m not sure when carrying two bags became a necessity, but there are so many bags in fact that when a woman is without one, I immediately take notice. As I’m pondering this we decide to follow her, and it is then that I notice the wonderful braid she’s sporting. Assuming I’d stop her for a portrait, I pretty much dismissed the above photo as a throwaway, that is until I got home and really took a good look at it.
