This portrait was taken at the corner of 13th Street and Broadway last night. While I will generally hold photos in queue for a couple of weeks or (in the case of Rynagh’s photo) months before posting, every once in a while one will turn out so clean that posting it right away is a no-brainer. With this one, I love how even in the absence of greenery or any semblance New York in the frame, it’s still the city, still a summer evening, which by the way is the very best evening a person can experience throughout the year. Tonight I will go through my catalogue and try to find three ‘non’-portraits to post with the idea of placing emphasis on what a New York summer evening looks like to Lord Ashbury.
