Here’s a light-hearted confession: I’m not particularly fond of putting these party rolls together for the blog. Often I get home from these gatherings pretty late. Before these hit the blog, I have to go through 100, maybe 200 frames to figure out which ones are the best, and then which ones work best together (because they’re often not one in the same). I have to figure out what the story is supposed to say, meaning the photos I select should have some sort of consistency in regards to temperature and mood. Of course then I have to make sure that the ones I select aesthetically fit, too, then I have edit where necessary and resize them all, then I get to upload them to the blog and find something (relevant or not) to write for the post. So if I get home at midnight, and I have to be out of the door by 9am (which is in like 8 minutes) I have roughly 3 hours that night and 1 more in the morning to sort it all out if I’m to get 4 hours of sleep and be functional the next day (today). To put things in perspective, I shot 4 events/parties last week. Why am I telling you this? Not to complain, I just hope you appreciate it more, cos obviously I love my readers
Spent the 4th at my friend Thomas’s penthouse rooftop for the 4th of July. Thomas is a photographer I met on the event circuit. Actually, we met at a mutual friend’s event, and then just kept bumping into each other at more events! So I really have to thank him for setting me up in such a tony location–especially since it was supposed to rain, but as you can see, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
Onto the photos, TGIF.
