Valentina Siragusa is sort of turning into a muse for me. I originally photographed last season in London outside Burberry and have photographed her several times since then. We’ve never had a conversation, but there’s definitely rapport–these days, when she sees me she always gives me a chance to frame my shot. There are times when a hundred photographers are clicking away and she wants to split, but when she sees me, she slows down and kindly obliges. On one hand it makes me feel pretty special, but then I also take photographing her more seriously than more random subjects. This isn’t to say that the frames necessarily turn out better, but I’m certainly cognisant of making sure I take a good picture; because she always gives me the chance, I’d rather not fail.
